Roman Catholic church of St George (Chiesa parrocchiale di San Giorgio), built and decorated in the 17th century (with later additions), including side altars with 18th-c. scagliola (stucco marble) frontals.

Northern side altar of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the Rosary (cappella della Madonna del Rosario): Neo-Baroque altar with 17th-c. wooden statue of the Madonna and Child Jesus, and 18th-c. scagliola frontal (antependium) with Rococo ornaments and central emblem.
Authorship, Date
Unknown, 18th c.; perhaps from a workshop in the Como region.
Significance
The Virgin Mary’s role as compassionate Mother of God and co-redeemer in the Passion of Christ.
